September 16, 2018

 

HOMICIDE

 

On September 16, 2018 at approximately 2:30 A.M., Mr. Earl Lassiter, was shot and killed in the 2000 block of Timber Ln., in the city of Chesapeake.  Mr. Lassiter resided in the 2000 block of Flower Ln.  He was last seen alive at 12:10 A.M. on that same day.  Below is a picture of Mr. Lassiter.  Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify any suspects in this crime.

FRAUD SUSPECTS

 

Date 08/11/2018

 

The victim had their credit card number compromised and used at a local business in the Great Bridge area of Chesapeake.

 

The suspects made several purchases in Chesapeake, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach.

 

The suspect wearing the pink shirt, white pants and has tattoos on his left arm, is seen using the victim’s credit card information.

 

Total loss: $3,945.05

FRAUD SUSPECTS

 

The victim had his credit card compromised in an unknown fashion.  His card information was used to purchase over $200.00 worth of merchandise at a department store in the Greenbrier section of Chesapeake on 8/13/18.  The suspect is pictures with his vehicle below.

LARCENY SUSPECTS

 

On September 23, 2018 an unknown white male entered Kohl’s located at 1547 Sam’s Circle. The male selected clothing and ran out of the store with the merchandise without making a purchase. The male was last seen getting into the passenger seat of a black Dodge Charger with NC tags.

FRAUD SUSPECTS

 

        

Date – 04/06/2018

 

Victim’s bank account was compromised and money was transferred from the victim’s account to the suspect’s account.

 

Suspect is seen making ATM withdrawals and making purchases for money orders in the Deep Creek area and in Portsmouth (Victory Blvd area)

 

Total loss on this case is over $5,000.00

LARCENY SUSPECTS

 

On August 30, 2018, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the male and female in the attached photos attempted to shoplift electronic merchandise from a store in the 2400 block of Chesapeake Square Ring Rd. in the City of Chesapeake.

LARCENY SUSPECTS

 

On August 30, 2018 several people entered the Walmart at 2448 Chesapeake Square Ring Rd.  They arrived in two different vehicles and entered the store in different groups.  The subjects separate in the store but collect most of the merchandise in one shopping cart which the female with the baby attempts to leave with.  The female in the white t-shirt pays for two items while bagging several other items she didn't pay for.

LARCENY SUSPECTS

 

On August 29, 2018 an unknown black male entered the ABC Store located at 836 Eden Way N. in the City of Chesapeake. The suspect selected a bottle of Crown Royale and concealed it in his pants prior to exiting the store without purchase.

FRAUD SUSPECTS

 

On July 23, 2018 the below pictured suspect utilized a bank card to commit check fraud at an ATM located off of Sam’s Dr. The suspect contacted the victim via the Tinder app and coerced the victim into providing her ATM card and pin number. The suspect withdrew over $3000 from the victims account after depositing fraudulent checks.

FRAUD SUSPECTS

 

On August 31, 2018 the below pictured black female used a debit card, that belonged to the victim, to make two purchases at the Walmart Neighborhood Market, located at 475 Kempsville Road. The two purchases total $127.05

WANTED SUBJECT

 

Subject is 20 year old Taekwon Rumble.  Last Known Address is in the 1200 block of Commerce Avenue in Chesapeake.

 

Charges

Norfolk – One count of failing to appear in court and one count of contempt of court for burglary and grand larceny.

Chesapeake – three counts of petite larceny and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

FRAUD SUSPECTS

   

Date – 08/16/2018 

--The victim lost his credit cards in Chesapeake or Norfolk. The credit cards were used at several locations in Chesapeake and Suffolk. 

--The suspect is a black male, possibly in his 50’s, wearing a --Chicago Bulls hat, black t-shirt and gold chain.  

--The suspect is driving a white Ford Super Duty, dual axel pick-up truck. 

--Suspect made purchases at Cavalier Ford for a 6 Liter Diesel Ford Super Duty pick-up truck. 

--Total loss:  $5100.00

FRAUD SUSPECT

 

On June 22, 2018 and August 16, 2018, a heavy set black male went into a local business in Deep Creek and presented counterfeit money.

 

On both occasions the suspect purchased ink cartridges and paid with counterfeit money.

LARCENY SUSPECTS

 

On Sunday, July 22, 2018 two white males (pictured below) entered the Best Buy located at 4107 Portsmouth Blvd. at approximately 6:00 p.m.  The first suspect used a magnet key to unlock a cabinet containing computer processors.  The suspect placed them on the counter and the second suspect concealed the processors under his shirt.  Both suspects left the store in an unknown vehicle.

On August 6, 2018 the below suspect entered the Chesapeake Square Walmart and placed some food items in a shopping cart.  He attempted to return the items as if he had already bought the items.  He walked into the loss prevention office when asked, but left as they were calling 911.  The male left on foot towards Taylor Rd.

On Wednesday July 11, 2018 a black male entered the Walmart located at 2448 Chesapeake Square Ring Rd. at approximately 10:08 a.m.  The male selected four baby items, placed them in a cooler, walked to the garden center and then threw the items over the fence into the parking lot.  The male was last seen running away toward Chesapeake Square Mall.

On July 1, 2018 a black male suspect entered into the Walmart located in the 1500 block of Sam’s Circle and made a purchase with 5 counterfeit $100 dollar bills.  A couple days later the male returned the same items at another Walmart in Woodbridge, VA.

On July 4, 2018 at approximately 2:45 p.m., a white female entered a known business in the 2700 block of Yadkin Road and stole merchandise from the store.

ROBBERY SUSPECTS

 

On July 17, 2018 at 10:59 a.m. Chesapeake Police responded to the Smoke Shop store located in the 3100 block of Western Branch Blvd. for a report of a robbery.  Once on scene Officers learned that a red car pulled up to the business occupied with 4 males.  One of the males entered the store with his face covered and armed with a hand gun.  He took a display case filled with merchandise.  He ran out of the store and got back in the vehicle.  An employee, armed with his own handgun, followed him out of the store and shot one time at the red car as it sped away.  It is unknown at this time if the car or anything was hit.  Below are pictures of the suspect and vehicle.

LARCENY SUSPECTS

 

On July 4th, 2018 a white male enters the Chesapeake Square Walmart.  He shops and goes through the self check out line.  He scans and pays for some items but bags baby clothes without paying for them.  He ran off when approached by loss prevention.  The male leaves on a black moped.

FRAUD SUSPECTS

 

On May 20th, 2018 an unknown male made an unauthorized check deposit into the victim’s bank account at an ATM machine in Western Branch.  The suspect then withdrew $200.00 from the victim’s account.
