Chesapeake Crime Line is a community based non-profit organization that partners the police, the media and the community in the fight against crime. We provide 24-hour, confidential access and offer rewards of up to $1,000 for tips leading to the arrest of individuals wanted for criminal acts.


If you have information about any crime, the location of any wanted person, or the location of stolen property, you may use any of the following three methods to contact Chesapeake Crime Line ANONYMOUSLY:

Is Crime Line Successful?


In 2017, Chesapeake Crime Line received 299 phone tips, 157 web tips and 51 text tips.

As a result:

  • Chesapeake police made 55 arrests from Chesapeake Crime Line tips

  • Of those arrested, there were:  Felonies 132    Misdemeanor 40

  • Chesapeake police recovered $2,300 in recovered drugs: Recovered cash: $111,000: Recovered guns: 5    Value Recovered Property: $2,034   Cases Solved: 45

  • Tipsters received $4,545 in reward money (none of which comes from local, state or federal funds - solely from funds raised by Chesapeake Crime Line)



Crime Line is successful because it offers the public a safe, anonymous opportunity to help police solve crime in their neighborhoods and also receive a reward for their effort! Often, without the guaranteed anonymity and reward incentive, many crimes might go unsolved.


These crimes were unsolved at the time this list was published. People featured may already have been identified, cleared of accusations or arrested. By the time you view this website, they might no longer be wanted. Please check with Chesapeake Crime Line to see if the case has been cleared.
